I'm so over this war. Iraq is definitely being ground to a bloody pulp – no question about that. But in terms of this war, we are losing it and the insurgency is winning. It’s not terrorists. Terrorists are small groups who use attacks on the general public to leverage their power through fear. It’s a tactic. What we have in Iraq is an insurgency – a group of people defending their country against invaders. We have so little ability to occupy Iraq that we cannot even secure the road between Baghdad and the Baghdad airport. You read in the paper about US soldiers getting to a “terrorist camp” only to find that the “terrorists have fled”. Does that sound right to you ? Or would it make more sense if actually the “insurgency staged a tactical retreat”. Attack and retreat, attack and retreat – those are the military tactics of an insurgency. Attack anyone who cooperates with the occupiers. That is another tactic of an insurgency.

Do you think we are really helping there, or are we the problem? I think that increasingly we are the problem. Will someone please explain to me why I need to continue to support a war sold to Congress and the UN with a handful of Bullshit – not outright lies, but definitely Bullshit? Is it even legal to feed congress a handful of BS in order to get them to vote that you can go to war? Why do we need to continue to support the war with our tax dollars and National Guard when it is becoming increasingly clear that we need both of those here at home? It’s too expensive, and I don’t see much benefit to us, to the world, or even to the Iraqis.
