Jeff Jensen at EW thinks its Locke, but I’m not so sure. That’s a lot of hair for Locke. yeah, the more I look at it, the less I think it's Terry O'Quinn. The nose is wrong, the forehead arc is wrong. TOQ has a bigger nose. I think its Alvar Hanso/Ian Patrick Williams. The close up of the eye is dark brown and that eliminates Locke/Ben (blue eyes) and Jack (hazel eyes/phew) from being Jacob. Plus Alvar Hanso said in TLE that he was kept prisoner by Mittlewerk from at least 2002-2006. and in Losttime it's December 2003. Hmm..I guess it could also be Des. But I think it has to be Alvar. That makes the most sense to me and we have to start seeing the LE tie-ins since we are now more than halfway through the story.
I just don’t even know what to think anymore. We got a lot of answers, but I just have more questions.
One thing I can tell you is that Ben is a psycho. I had no idea he was such a terrible person! What is wrong with these Others? I have been all ready to believe that they were really the good guys, but that hippie massacre was just mean. And Ben lived there among them for what – 15 years? And then he kills his own father so cold-bloodedly and organizes the extermination of the entire DI. For what? Did Jacob tell him to do that? Can he really hear Jacob? Because it seems like he can’t hear him at all and that he was faking talking to him for Locke’s sake. And then Jacob talked to Locke and all hell broke loose. Was Jacob excited because of the light – maybe it gives him power – or because someone heard him? That ring of ash was maybe to keep Jacob in or something? My thought is that Jacob is not only Alvar Hanso. He is Magnus Hanso. And that Magnus and Alvar are actually the same person and the island makes them immortal. But it’s confusing. Because if Jacob is a prisoner now, was he always a prisoner? Or did Ben imprison him at some point in the more recent past? I hope we get a wayback flashback at some point.
